Cafe SAISON(カフェ セゾン)
At Cafe SAISON in Kita-Otsuka, enjoy daily homemade side-dish set meals and bento boxes, rich cane sugar banana cheesecake, and a distinctive lineup of drinks.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tucked into a residential neighborhood in Kita-Otsuka near the Toden tram tracks, Cafe SAISON is a cozy, welcoming spot where visitors can drop by and unwind. A daily selection of homemade side dishes lines the counter, ready to be enjoyed on-site as a teishoku set meal or packed to go as bento boxes and home meal additions.
The prepared dishes focus on comforting, familiar fare, featuring choices such as Wagyu beef nikujaga, domestic fried chicken karaage, aromatic garlic-grilled mackerel, and sakura shrimp and vegetable kakiage tempura. For something more substantial, the cafe also prepares Korean-style seaweed rice rolls filled with domestic beef or squid and kimchi, making for a hearty choice when looking to fill up. For dessert, the rich banana cheesecake made with generous amounts of banana and unrefined cane sugar is a standout sweet.
The beverage lineup is just as versatile, complementing staples like organic iced coffee and cafe lattes with unique options like a smooth, rich cheese cream coffee. There is also a generous selection of dessert-style drinks, including a sugar-free banana smoothie, avocado banana chocolate milk, and sesame almond kinako milk. With alcoholic options like regional Koshi craft beer and Ichiro's Malt whisky also available, the cafe adapts easily to any visit, from an afternoon break to a relaxed evening drink.
